Senior session tips

from your photographer

For your senior session, I recommend bringing a mix of outfits to capture both the classic milestone and your personal style. Be sure to include your graduation gown for those timeless, celebratory images, along with a dressy outfit for polished, posed portraits. You’re also welcome to bring a more casual look that reflects your personality. Choosing solid colors or soft, neutral tones works best and keeps the focus on you while creating a clean, cohesive gallery.

family session tips

from your photographer

For family portraits, I recommend choosing neutral tones like whites, creams, beiges, soft grays, and earthy colors. These shades photograph beautifully and complement any setting—whether we’re outdoors in nature or in a more urban location—without clashing or distracting from your connection as a family. Coordinating (rather than matching exactly) helps create a cohesive, timeless look that keeps the focus on you and your loved ones

Lifestyle newborn session tips

from your photographer

For the most beautiful, clean-looking images, I recommend tidying the spaces where your lifestyle newborn session will take place—typically the nursery, master bedroom, or living area. Keeping surfaces simple and clutter-free helps the focus stay on your baby and the connection within your family. For clothing, soft neutral tones photograph best, especially beige and white for shirts and dresses, as they create a timeless, light, and cohesive look throughout your gallery.
